Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application iGetGroceries (“Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Nikolai Nobadi ("Developer"). The Application is an app that keeps track of different grocery lists, as well as a recipe list, which, when used in tandem, is designed to help with grocery shopping preparations.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects and uses personal data as outlined below.

User Provided Information

When you create an account and use the Application, you provide (a) your name, email address, username, password, and other registration information; (b) information you provide when you send feedback or make contact for help; and (c) information you enter into the system when using the Application, such as names of stores, grocery items, recipes, ingredients, grocery item categories, and a household nickname.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device's unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, and information about the way you use the Application.

Use of Data

The Application uses your data to provide and improve the service. By using the service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Data Retention

The Developer will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. The Developer will retain Automatically Collected information for up to 24 months. If you would like the Developer to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please send your request to nnobadicares@gmail.com, and the Developer will respond within a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.

Security

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Location Services Information

For enhancing user experience, the Application utilizes location services. Users may opt to add a location to their grocery stores. This enables the Application to use geofencing technology to recognize when a user enters the vicinity of a registered grocery store and automatically open the corresponding grocery list.

With user consent, the Application may also collect and use location data in the background. This is to provide local notifications to inform users when they have arrived at a specific grocery store. Users can grant or revoke this permission at any time through their device settings.

Location data is used solely for these functionalities and is not used for any other purpose nor shared with any third parties except as described in this privacy policy.

Geofencing and Notifications

The Application uses geofencing technology to provide convenience and personalized services. Geofences are virtual perimeters set around physical grocery store locations as defined by users. When a user enters or leaves these geofenced areas with the Application's location services enabled, the Application may automatically display relevant grocery lists or send local notifications as reminders.

For users who have granted always-on location access, the Application can send notifications upon arriving at a specific grocery store. This feature is optional and can be controlled through the Application settings and device's location permissions.

Opt-Out rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Children

The Developer does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided information without their consent, he or she should contact the Developer at nnobadicares@gmail.com. The Developer will delete such information from Application files within a reasonable time.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. You will be notified of any changes to this Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here and informing you via email. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to having your information processed as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by the Developer. "Processed," means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States. If you reside outside the United States your information will be transferred, processed and stored there under United States privacy standards.
